IIRC, it's a paraphrase, not a quote. I think the original quote was: "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

Thanks IMPI and farewell. Please pop in from time to time.
Certainly the focus of this forum will switch with trends etc and I am more a learner than someone that has heaps of knowledge to share. I learn a lot from this forum

I try to assist others where and with what I can and will continue to do so.

I agree Facebook is great but with no filtering and the amount of BS I am trying to move away from it.

I have met up with Mark Kritzinger and what a guy. Somebody I would never have met otherwise.

Agreed we will have some people that will take chances and I am sure there are people who has had good and bad experiences with other forum members but come on we are all here to share our experiences And e.g. wether or not a forum member agrees with another's point of view regarding changing to water cooled so be it.

It is my freakin car my money I want it the way I want it if I get good advise and decide not to take it and bumps my head so be it my fault my lesson learned.

Enough ranting enjoy your vintage non vintage rat original air and watercooled Vw as much as you can

Terrible news. I always thought that this incredible resource and easy access to such knowledgeable people would always be around, we have had a number of really knowledgeable people become stagnant on the forum over the years, but i honestly thought the original core group would stay intact.
