Grey heat resistant paint for stock exhausts
I'm looking for grey heat resistant paint that can be used for the stock look on Beetle exhausts. Does anybody know of a local (South African) source?

Re: Grey heat resistant paint for stock exhausts
no it wont work, thats made for the exterior surfaces of an engine
500F is only 260degC, exhaust gas at idle is hotter than that

Re: Grey heat resistant paint for stock exhausts
This also looks like a good suggestion, assuming the exhaust doesn't get hotter than 1093 deg C. Thanks @spicydave. I'll check out my local hardware.

You'll probably find VHT at hardware stores and builders warehouse too
But I know for definite that Midas sells it - it was next to the VHT caliper paint I bought a few weeks ago

Re: Grey heat resistant paint for stock exhausts
Thanks. I expect Midas to be the most expensive, but I'll have a look around.
