I had the pleasure of seeing this car in action a few times with Robbie Rushforth at the wheel at the Falls Road Race track in Bulawayo. Very impressive to see,cant tell you if it is still a round or in storage down here.

Same one?
From a CAR magazine of January 1969 - this Beetle was fitted with a 6.2 litre V8 Chrysler engine in the front. It had a four-barrel Carter carburettor, and produced 227kW with 555 N.m. of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a two-speed auto tranny
This beast was built by Peter Michaels for a Hot Rod & Speed Exhibition in Cape Town, early 1969
