Re: It's a Sand Rail?????? My new toy
Thanks Nick
The colour is called EAU DE NIL . It is a chemical resistant two part paint.
I also painted the backing plates and drums which I wanted to fit today but could not, and also painted the tank, spare wheel stand and side mirror fittings in the same colour

Re: It's a Sand Rail?????? My new toy
Time for a little update..
Over the weekend decided that I have neglected the Rail for to long and spent some time cleaning up and reconning the master cylinder, which was done and then tried to install the peddle assembly, also done.
BUT..... when it came time to thread through the clutch cable different story as the tube that the length of the tunnel sits on the right hand side and the hook for the eye of the cable sits on the left, which I don't think is correct as the cable then has a kink in it crossing from right to left?.
At first I thought it might be a let hand drive floor pan but no, there is no hole for the M C plunger and the accelerator cable tube is on the left side.
To remedy this I pushed through a length of 10mm ID tubing from the back of the pan to run along the left side of the tunnel to enable me to fit the cable.
Thanks for reading.

This weekend I cut the tube to size that I had to install for the clutch cable and threaded the cable through.
Having done this i was able to fit the peddle assembly.

I was abit concerned about the wood board that one of the spare wheels is kept.
So i coated it with a layer if Belzona and it came out quite nice.
