Hi All

New to this world - my other cars have all been somewhat on the other end of the spectrum technology and speed wise LOL. I found a '73 Beetle 1600 Twin Port recently whilst looking for something completely different and decided to pull the trigger. I was pointed in the direction of the forum. Looking forward to learning a lot.

Welcome Clivevan! If you have basic mechanical aptitude, can read and have a desire to learn, you can do most jobs on your bus. The air cooleds are not that complicated cars to work on. There's also a lot of knowledge here if you get stuck. There's also YouTube, the samba, etc. But if you're stuck on outsourcing your work, hopefully somebody here can set you up with a good mechanic.

It would appear that some volks in CT have an issue with Grand Slam, but I have always found him nice helpful and cost effective.

Also can say the same for Adrenco in Villersdorp, Have just had excellent service from both, and when things did go wrong, they stood by their names.

Got it fixed and no BS.

Thank you.

The trick is to marry a wife with OCD and then occasionally let her loose in the garage
