Is there perhaps some confusion between the T4 kombie and type 4 engine ??

Yes.

T4 = 4th generation VW bus.
Type 4 = replacement for Type 3 and also the engines that first appeared in the Type 4.

I got a AA badge from my Dad before he passed away 2 years ago.
The weekend my sister went through a box of some of my Dads stuff and found the original registration document and maps for the AA badge I have.

Not really an amazing find but... While checking the part nr on a washer bottle to see from which year Beetle it came, I spotted something unusual.

The part nr dates it to a 68-72 model washer bottle.

Sometime somewhere somebody used a 1964 1/2c coin to block off the water inlet

Seems like people are not “scoring” anymore Image. I managed to find the exact radio as the car had in the SP1600 brochure. Just. Issuing the recessed face plate though.
