Baywindow Seatbelt upgrade

Post by Eugene »

Hi all, I am looking to upgrade the Bay's seatbelts to inertia reel belts. I bought the Chinese version from local parts shop but lo and behold, they are too short! I cannot find any from Goldwagen. Any suggestions?

Some guys buy Nissan Bakkie belts from the scrap yard, its supposed to fit.

I bought the same sets from Midas, but has extensions made for the side of seat buckles from my local cable guy.

Now I do not have to bend so low to clip my belt.

I bought the Midas ones and they fit my baywindows perfectly. The stalks are too short to mount in a split bus though. The belts themselves are long enough.

Forgot to tell you that they sell two models.

On the box you will see they have short stalks and they have long stalks.

You may have the short, then you just need to take them back and swap them.

I also bought Midas ones and then got T3 stalks. They work perfectly.

That was nasty

with the seat belt fitted and no occupant to obstruct, the belt just reaches. They do come with a stalk as long as the box.

Eugene. Are those the ones that roll out of the little roller

So if there is no occupant you need to roll a bit out of the roller

A simple pull should do the trick not too hard though else it locks

Have you got a bench seat or a through way with two seats ??

May be using the incorrect fixing points.

Mine is a walk through and I will take photos of the belts and fixing points is you want.
