Westy outside belly plates

Post by AlanH »

Hi Guys,
As the subject suggests, I want to find out if anyone has removed the belly plates running on the outside of the frame. They seem to be welded.
I need to remove them, as there is still some rats nest in there that pongs, but there is also some bitumen so it makes it difficult to see.

Wanted parts:
Left sunvisor
Sink faucet
Exhaust to swap for Beetle exhaust

I haven't removed them, but they are easily removeable and it's important to address any issues they are hiding on a full resto. I beileve they are spot welded.
