Jes nou net nie bluch nie

Bratjie most of the things that
Tony has mentioned are the major factors

1 The dogbox backing sucking in to the fan at higher RPM
2 Timing there is one of the mojor players
3 cooling tin ware and was the Carb nicely cleaned before re installation
4 the rubberthat seals the hot air from rising back in to the engin bay
5 Fan belt that could also be to loose and you not hearing its slipping Had that also before

Well keep us posted with the fault finding and PICS
If BK Had as much acsses as usual you would already been Slaped on the ----------- for Pics

Hi all
While looking for info on revamping my combi, I found this site and just had to join.
I have a '74 1600 Double cab combi, another '74 double cab with a B1800 Volvo engine (bought it like that) and a '58 Carman Ghia (someone cut it to a convertable and build out the wheel arches) without an engine. The '74 double cab is now due for a "make over". Thereafter it will be the Ghia's turn and then last the Double cab with the Volvo engine........and I need advice....lots of advice, because I am sick and tired of backyard mechanics running VW shops and selling me stuffed "recon" engines. Since I'm going to own a Combi or two for the rest of my natural life, I might as well learn how to do the engines and maintain them....

Hey all!

I have been following this site for bout 3 months but couldnt get registerd, thanks FFF for helping out.

At the moment I dont own any aircooled vehicles and my next two toys wont be either.

After that I would like to purchase a speedster as that is just one of the most beautiful cars around.

Will probably be asking more and more questions as the time comes nearer.

Anyway, just thought I will introduce myself

Hi there,

I am Vaughn and live in centurion. I used to belong to the GTI club until politics ran supreme. I used to drive a 76 Beetle as a student and would like to get another now that I can afford to look after them properly. I currently drive a 98 VW VR6.

Thats about it for now.
