According to my knowlege the ragtop's only came out till round about 1963/4. From 1965 to the end the standard bugs with sunroof had a steel sliding roof like this one. I like them very much.
When I was still young one of my teachers bought a new bug in 1968 with the steel sliding roof and it looked so cool. Would not mind having one in the yard. (Pity the space)

Rear disc brakes - enjoy bleeding them. I will never recommend rear disc brakes on a beetle after my troubles.

But its looking good.

Looking good, but ........ those solid mounts are going to drive you crazzy on the highway, it's not going to be pleasant. Sound deadning is going to have to be thick.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......

Speak to Brian about a distributor... 083 7340080. He builds new distributors from VW Golf units.

For the fuel pressure regulator, do not buy the cheap stuff from autostyle. Try get a oem vw unit or a malpassi rising rate regulator.

Fuel pump, VW Golf Cti. They produce 160lt/hour at 3 bar pressure. Which is more than enough for your engine.

Oil cooler, Volkspares sells a oil cooler kit with electric fan fitted to it. Those work wonders. Also look at the setrab coolers that universal coolers sell.

Just a hint on the fuel pump. Make sure that the pump is located close to the fuel tank and that the outlet pipe from the tank is about 1/2" or bigger. These pumps are gravity fed, if there is no fuel it's buggered quickly.

You can simply enlarge the pipe on your existing tank, but I'd reccomend building a surge tank for the pump. That way you are sure that there will always be fuel.
