Cant you get your existing tank rewelded or move the fuel hose to the inside some how, maybe some constructive mad scientist move?!
You're talking about the leaves hmmm im not sure if it should be split. Are you going to be adding adjusters?

shane ,that is your blades that your referring to.the top and bottom blades of the same beam[top or bottom]are split while the ones in the middle is one piece[hope you understand]

bugspray what are adjusters???? what are they,what do they do,how hard are they to install ,will they come in handy at a later stage

Avis adjusters, theyre 170bux each, from callooker, they lower your ride height about 2inches, check out my post on Lowering a Std beetle. Its explaind properly there, by the pros.

bugsrpay thought about taking the tank i had in the photo before and ading on sheet metal around it to make it fit

Safer to go with 2. If you use just 1, you will add 2much of stress to the one without it. Rather do both beams.

then in terms of welding the udjusters in can i use an inverter welder or not if not what kind of welding will i need done on it

Yes it was in the strand but don't think I want to comment on who as now other stuff has come to the surface and I don't know if it was already like that before they got the bus or where somehow involved.

ok no just wanted to know because when i was down there saw a place that looked like they built beach buggies,beetles and so on not to far from where i worked,so just wondered if they had built yours

I suggest Co2 welding. But im no expert. Maybe bugger or Mello could pitch in...?

another thing i am worried about is once i have my disk brakes,adaptors and my rostyles on arnt the wheels gonna sit outside the fenders?????
