On Monday, I lost the clutch on my Ghia at 17H00. All I could do was wait for the traffic to subside and attempt to drive the 40km's home without any issues. I eventually made it and pulled the pedal cluster to find this.

When I pulled the Ghia into the garage I heard the fan grinding on the housing. This was never heard before and once I'd fixed the clutch I investigated the noise. Now I had noticed a little oil around the enginge number for a while but took no real notice and decided to repair this small leak if ever I need to do the motor over.

Well last night I got the car running and found this.

While putting everything back together, Eksdom, decided to deprive us of power and had to carry on by candle light.

Eventually got everything repaired and running. Now I just need to find a DECENT hose clamp for a leaking axle boot. Damn! they make cheap shite today. The leaking clamp is stripped after only 1 tightening.

Got rid of the torn and dust trapping carpets and replaced them with some nice rubber from Builder's Warehouse. We used the templates from Daisy (our other bay), to cut the new rubbers. They fit very well and are much nicer than the carpets in a daily driver.

Pulled the Type 4 motor apart to repair a bad oil leak. This motor must go in the fasty for Roadworthy. And as you see in "wanted', I need a push rod. The tip of one of mine split in 2.

Notch, now running again after some major issues with crap in the fuel pipes, done oil change, still with it's ass in the air need to replace axle boot, and noticed there is a leak on the rear wheel, seems the seal has gone, or maybe the wheel cylinder, more work :?
