Funny enough you come from the same network and share your name with an aussie that I just banned yesterday. Coincidence?

I really don't enjoy playing police... I'd much rather take part in the posts of what this forum is supposed to be about. What's the solution? Banning country IP ranges?

Hi Everyone,
I'm Joose (pronounced "juice"). I dont own a VW, but I'm hoping to change that if I can find the right one

Is there a place on this forum where cars are advertised for sale or anything like that? I had a quick look around a didnt see anything. I'm looking to buy a Karmann Ghia convertible project car. I know they are rare and expensive, but I have time on my side and I dont mind waiting for the right one

Welcome to the Forum, Joose. Finding an original Ghia Cabrio is a bit of a long shot (unless you already know of one), but hacksaw conversions turn up every now and then, and I've seen some of them that look very nice!
You are guaranteed to have a lot of fun here

Thanks for the welcome! I know this isnt the place to discuss cars for sale etc, but does anyone know approximately how many ghia cabrio's are in the country? I know Motostars has one for sale at the moment but its LHD and very pricey. Am I being totally unrealistic to expect to find a tatty cabrio for around R40k?
thanks again,

I spoke to Emil Kuschke from the Karmann Ghia Club a few weeks ago, and he could personally name all the Ghia Cabrios in SA. He almost did not need to use the fingers on his other hand to count them..

Whats up everyone, Kevin from Plainfield IL USA. Got 2 bugs right now, a '61 that I recently picked up out of a junkyard for cheap. And a unfinished custom '63 with the works, Oval rear window, sliding rag, Sears Allstate trailer, Judson Supercharger, chrome snow flake tail lights, polished empi 5 spokes, the list goes on and on. Also have a Rat rod '26 Hupmobile rodster pickup that is completly scratch built. Just saying hi to all on the other side of the world.
The '63
The '61 Junkyard bug. "Lucky Bastard"
The Hupmobile rat rod
