Thanks for the welcome. The custom '63 will eventualy be a finished car, just a matter of time and money. The '61 will be a driver for now once I get it to that point, I am moving along pretty quickly on it though. And the Hup is my dad's and I project, its on hold as he had a stroke on christmas and is slowly improving. Nice to see cars from around the world. The cars a somewhat different than around here, more bugs than anything. Seems like theres a lot of busses there.

Hi .. Im a newbie to the whole aircooled vw scene. Have always wanted a Karmann Ghia ... now have one and its in some need of repairs. Seems that there are less and less places around with parts and even fewer people who know the answers to my questions so eventually ended up here and its been a great source of info so far. Great forum...great people.
Thanks.

Hi Scott

Welcome! It's great to see you here as yourself, so to speak.

Scott has been rather modest in his intro, and forgot to tell us about his successful business: http://www.vwclassics.co.uk

Scott tells me he has a policy of not buying pre-59 or "rare" cars, and that he usually gives locals time to buy advertised bargains before he does. He has privately committed to offering me any special buses at a reasonable mark-up before exporting them. I'd be happy if he were to make the offer to everyone on these forums.

I trust that volks here will welcome and engage Scott rather than automatically savaging him for the way he makes his living.
