Well, nothing mindbendingly awesome, took delivery of the cane rat today and when I say it was dirty, trust me.....it was. So off with the gloves and out with the various Karcher's. Net result something a tad more respectable. Not new mind you, simply more clean. Of course I need to repeat the process a few more times and then we might start to get somewhere.....the amount of crud in the various nooks and crannies is unbelievable.

I'll slap on my Stirling tomorow and get a picture up in a more suitable thread.......

Got the 59 Beetle out, washed her, and went Hardware buying with her, just to give her a run and charge the battery.
Then I washed the Fastback, and my kid and I went on a 100 mile round trip to Ninaga for a nice lunch, drove like a dream, and brought a smile to a lot of Sunday driving family's.
Must do this more often. :D

painted my timing gear and installed it. Set TDC properly this time.

Fault finding on my oil pressure light reveals the light bulb is blown.
Fixed one indicator.
No test drive yet, need my oil pressure bulb first.

Replaced rear lights and the battery on the buggy. Maybe we can drive it again after a year of standing.

My 64 Notch got much TLC over the passed 3 days: New axle boot, axle seal, eyelids, crystal lights, mud flaps, trim added, oil, tranny oil. Brakes adjusted, shift rod hanger replaced, (huge job) new bushing and coupler fitted, genuine hurst shifter added gears now change like silk. New fuel line fitted . Took it for a spin, drives like a dream. RAT look completed, need to finish the interior and add period accessories, watch this space.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
