But yes. I've had a rather interesting experience with a guy at work (someone I trusted and defended). I still can't believe we got taken in by the guy, but it happened...

All I can say is there have always been traitors. They tend to get themselves caught, so I don't fret about it... much.

I saw my name was on the list as well.

Subsequently there was a request from Eben asking who knew someone. I happen to know this person purely from another old car point of view - no business (definitely no insider trading !) - purely social. I PM'd this fact to Eben.

Since then I have received some strange messagess and no longer can see the Offered section. No response to my enquiries so far.

Nope, that situation was unrelated to cars.
But it does apply in principal here, who ever the person is that uses this site for their personal profit, will be caught.
There is no question, in my mind, about that.

But the situation I had a work, taught me to look deeper and judge more on results than personality.

So I can only assume that ALL the names on "The List" no longer have access to the Offered section?

Otherwise, I sense some foul play.....not the wing-ed version....

Let me add my two cents worth. Dont drop the offered section that would not be productive at all. After all, if you look at it like this (sorry guys) money talks bs walks. So lets say some local yokel wants to buy the car but joe soap overseas and has the $$$ for the asking price and local doesnt, what do you do? First come first serve, sadly that is the truth with everything, property, right down to livestock and sadly here in South africa there are a lot of crooks and chancers. And on the other hand dont drop the offered section for purely selfish reasons, one of these days I will be looking for a bus, and I dont trust anything in the Junkmail. And when I needed wheels to get my rostyles back i was helped on this particular forum. No just bite the bullet and count to 10. once again sorry guys.
