It seems that these guys have gotten the jump on me. I have yet to see one of their cars and I have noticed that most of the photos on the site is that of known cars on the WEB

I meant to send you that link a few weeks ago when I first saw it. They have been around a bit according to their site, but I have never heard of them before and also not seen any of their cars.

I also saw the copied pics.................doesn't really sit well with me when a company can't even take pics of their own cars.............

Panache cars ... interesting...
I spoke to them, Your R185k get you a fully assembled coupe, with a standard beetle engine, upholstered interior and original badges etc.
Apparently the moulds were made from their own original 356 coupe and "you can't tell the difference between theirs and the real thing"
One of their parts guy is supposed to call me back.. I will update if they do...

UPDATE- They did call back. I have since spoken to Rob from Panache cars a few times. I have asked them to source a few parts for me, no actual progress or results yet. If I get a chance I am going to go there next week to look at two cars they have there. Will let you guys know what I think after that.

Yeah sure you did. Then answer me this, why does "panache" cars use pictures of other peoples cars to pass off as their own??? The blue on the package page on the top right belongs to a well known jhb porsche fan and that was his car in the 70's/ 80's.

Just go a few posts up and you would see the comments regarding panache cars........Until I see otherwise, I think that IMPI's coupe is the only replica out there. Replicars stated that they had produced a few, but IMPI's was the only one. So like I said, until I see otherwise, I call BS.

WOW IMPI
I've gone all "HULK" with jealousy - the 356 coupe is my ultimate aircooled car of all time.
Before I'm 80, I MUST have one. I don't care if it's a reproduction and not the original (who can afford those prices) it's the looks that count.

Small update
between other projects toy hasnt been getting any love but at least I got some seats moulded of a real speedster seat a bit pricey but worth it
Image
Image
These were a must as none of the SA replicas seems to have real seats most often copied from a Cobra Bucket

Hi Just in case anyone thought my project was dead. I have decided to make 2014 the year it really is revived.
hopefully other projects will not be too demanding As it is in line with the shroud fiberglaas work I will probably make a huge mess of my workshop next year.
Also planned is a complete chassis with 356 dimensions in all planes.
So far there is almost all the parts but they need to be stitched together with doors probably being the largest task remaining

Awesome news Armand, good luck..
Do you by any chance intend to make some copies of those seats? They are really nice.

Cheers
