I'm going to re-drill them cause I love the chrome strips. The car is getting painted battle ship grey with white below the beading so it would look funny with out them

I got a really big surprise today when looking at the RH side heater Chanel. I saw a little piece of fiber glass and said to my self O :bn: Here comes some rust!! So I pulled it off and it went all the way across the door sill !!! But there was less rust on that side than the side I just fixed :? Why would some one do that? any way I am going to start replacing rust on that side on Monday. I have removed most of the rust on the left hand side of the car but need to sort out a few more things. :hangloose:

Okay time to start working again. I have taken apart the wiper motor and fix that so I no longer need a wiper motor :hangloose: :hangloose: I have also ordered some nice new bits and pieces :D and best of all I should be able to re build the motor next week when I get my gasket set :drunks: every thing is coming together except the body work but thats just life. I will only really get that done during my next holiday. Its all moving along slowly and I can't wait to see the end result!!!

Hi all I have just plugged in my phone for internet and its working (until I run out of air time Lol  ) Any way time to let you no whats happening I have spent a while today making a tool to remove the gears on the crank so that I can replace all the bearings. It might not look like much but it works really well I have also welded in the new panel in the dash and fixed the hole where the window sprayer goes other than that I have been cleaning and getting dents out of bumpers and I put the wiper unit back together. I'm now going to spend some time on little things like the bumper brackets and the rear luggage compartment and then give them a layer of nice paint. :hangloose:

Hey every one has been very quiet about my work lately did I do some thing wrong? :? Any way I have had a brake for Christmas and new years but today I had so fun fiddling on the door panels. Okay considering the fact that I don't have an income it would take me forever to save up for every thing so I have to compromiser on some things and make them my self :( . Like the door panels cause I cant find a decent set of second hand ones but maybe I will later on. I ended up spending R175 to make both door panels (Iv only finished 1 but have the stuff for the other) So here it is (sorry about the picture my camera ended up at the bottom of the sea  )

Okay today I put my new axle boots on and filled up the gear box. Then after that my new bearings came in and I put the whole sub-assembly back together. I managed to snap off one bolt for the pressure plate in the fly wheel so I drilled it and re-threaded it. I also put in my new clutch plate and other bits and pieces.

So far I have the following things (in my room) for the build:
New running boards
New carpets
Fire extinguisher :)
new hub caps
turn singal switch (used)
re-conditioned Tp heads
most of the paint
headliner material
All new bulbs
New door handels
And a whole bunch of little things lying around
Im also waiting for a few things so come in :D but it is still going to be along time till I get them :(

I had some fun about half an hour ago  I was standing on the rear apron welding closed the hole where the old aireal was and I start to feel my leg getting hot and it smelt like ironed clothes so I take off my welding helmet and there has a huge flame burning up my leg and melting my pants  Turns out the sponge from the old headlining had court fire and was burning so I jumped off and grabbed the air hose and blew the flame out and climbed up again and the same thing happed again except now there was smoke every where and as I jumped off I looked at the inside of the roof and there was this huge flame inside the car but luckily I could still get it out with out letting any of the panels get hot   So back to work :D

I am for F-ing tired of sanding my arm feels like its going to fall off and I have not even done half the body  And I look like I have been sleeping on a bed made of flour bags. Any way I have closed up the arial hole in the roof with out killing my self and I have welded a new pice of metal in the rear passager side. To get rid of this rust hole

Then I spent the rest of the day sanding and body filling
