While I have seats in for Upholstery, I've been buying items online and getting them posted to me in the meantime. My Audio Plans are afoot.
The previous owner has a pair of 6 1/2' Splits in the door, with a head unit under the dash on the right hand side of the steering wheel. When going, and with the wind noise, exhaust etc, you don't hear too much. So I started thinking, besides an Amp, Sub, how could I manage the Audio without having issues with the head unit. Bluetooth springs to mind. I have a Headset in my helmet that pairs with my missus, or my Cel when I commute. Why no Bluetooth ready Amps.. I checked the CEMA show and there's JUST been released, a Bluetooth ready Amp in the States. So got onto ebay, and found this.

It's less than 100 bucks, a Bluetooth Dongle. So, I plug the stereo headphone jack into a pair of RCA's, into the Amp in the Boot, and pair to my Phone when I get in. No worries about a faceplate, headunit, CD's etc.. Simply pair, press play and go. 8)

Also have bought two period correct Mirrors from Carrera Motors in JHB, annd await their arrival. So it's slowly coming together.

I did,
got hold of the Manufacturers actually in Switzerland.. Gave me a "We don't retail, only manufacture". Contact 3 "agents" in Europe, and excl Postage, I was well over a grand per mirror.. So for this price already ijn JHB, and they are not round mirrors, I'm happy actually.

If you referring to the one's I bought, not sure, I'll confirm when I get them. Overseas I was only looking at convex mirrors.
USA Shop wanted $130-00 for 2.. Thats just stupid.
Roger gave me this lead. Not sure if he has more, but maybe contact them and check buddy.

Nah, I'm going to be in the US in June and will have a heap of stuff sent up to my contact before the time and then just bring it all back, because it's the shipping that kills us.

Quick update.

I received the HEX bar Linkage from Dellorto in the UK, so started to re-assemble this to the Carbs in preperation to be fitted on the Speedster. Half way through, I discover the one linkage from the HEX Bar to the Carb arm is supposed to have a left hand and right hand thread on each end. The one rod I have has circles on it.. No thread, it doesn't start, or end, just goes round the rod in circles.. So, can't fit adjuster or nut. Mailed them this am with Pics, no probs, and a replacement Rod is being sent. Nice Service..

I'm hopefully getting my two front seats back this week, then my Interior Tan upholstry is done. Will be following Gary's suggestions for the carpeting, buying a big piece, cutting myself, and getting them edged properly.

I collected my two new side Mirrors today from Carrera Motors. They're stunning, made in germany, and the real deal.. Will post some Pics over the weekend. :hangloose:

Regards

Finally got my Seats back from my local upholster. Remember my intentions with this car is not to go for original, but more my own take on the car, and something I find attractive. I'm really glad with how they turned out, and I love the Tan colour with the red piping to accent the car's colour.

The Mirrors are also a piece of work. I bought two, for safety concerns.

Big difference.

I love this angle..

I'm also going to make a Tarp across the rear behind the Seats isng the same material, just to close it off properly. The Roof can wait a few months.. Next, Carpets. Same colour as what Gary had on his thread, a kind of Biscuit colour, tan, cream, brown mix.

Cheers

Thanks Tony.. Appreciated.
Now gonna sort out the rear Tarp to close the back up and the Carpets, the Carbs when the replacement Linkage gets here, and just enjoy him for a few months.

Went to Builders and looked at Carpets. Belgotex have a "Superweave" which has 3 to 4 colours in it, I took a sample swatch and checked on my Tan Interior, with red Body, and Black rubber mats, I'm probasbly going with the "Jacquard" colouring. Has Black, Tan, Beige and a sandy colour in it.. Looks great on the seats.

Comes in a 4 Meter length, so one of those, pull up all my existing carpets, lay them on the back of this roll and cut out. Get a few pieces edged, and then glue it all in. :hangloose:
