Thanks Alex20, thanks for the compliment, i've been tempted many times to go full, cal-look, but decided to stick to resto-cal for this one, my dad has a full cal-look '57 with one piece windows front and to be honest he said he is replacing them with stock windows when we revamp them one day, they rattle and leak quite a bit, might be because of the installation obviously but to be honest i kinda like the little vent windows, interior will also be stock standard apart from vintage speed shifter and some extra guages.

I baught the grilles from a guy at one of the Ferdi's swop meets. The guages i baught from ISP West, they are VDO internals, very nice quality

The pratley putty worked like a charm and should be strong enough to hold up with the flex of the steering wheel, it smoothes out real easy even before it sets, some salyva on the finger works best
. Then two coats etch and on to paint
