As i don't have a project yet, I did some web searching for a 11 or 13 window Bus for sale. I then realised that i need to save up some more before i buy one. I then went and refitted the turbo pipe on my TD5 Land Rover because it popped off the other day.

Over the last 2 weeks...
got casing welded
changed axle boots and tightened gearbox bolts
installed engine
started and synched carbs

then today, I drove her into the driveway and cleaned the garage
she sounds sweet and no oil leaks yet.

1) Ordered new sunvisors and clips to replace the teabags that are currently in place. The cost of these is completely off the wall but I decided to spoil myself for my birthday. (Think I'm going to have the teabags rebuilt and keep for spares.)
Sun Visors.jpg
2) Ordered a Vintage Speed 1½" exhaust system with matching j-pipes to go with the dual Weber 36 IDFs and 'head job' we are going to be doing sometime soonish.

3) Started to clean 42 years of grime out of the cabin. This is going to be a major pain in de ass but tackling it section by section is the way to go.

Drove it :D to the Aircooled Wonders meet. Then drove it some more! Sooo awesome driving it after a long time.

Need to bleed the brakes, and remove those damn spacers in the wheels, causing a crazy wobble on the steering.

Can I run the mags and adapters without the spacers, on a standard suspension? Any issues?

Went for a drive after some timing changes on the computer and she feels much better!! Problem is now that the map ends at 6000 RPM and she wants more  Modified the map tonight and want to get it ready for the open road and CITP on Sunday.
