When I started my van at 3.30 yesterday morning the LPG button on the dash gave a series of 3 bleeps 4 times (what ever that means) I thought it needed some LPG. I drove to Pencoed & filled up with LPG it only took £13.
I set off and the van cut out on the Severn Bridge. It was then that I realized I'd been running on petrol but had run out. I tried everything to get the LPG to work but nothing.
I rang the breakdown company & they sent a text that they would be there within an hour.
A top bloke in a grey 3 door MK1 Golf pulled in to see if he could help, he had a can of petrol. I chucked it in & I was away. I rang the breakdown & cancelled the call.
3 miles from Leigh Delamere services (the nearest petrol station) I ran out again. Rang the guy from the breakdown he told me that because the job had been canceled he'd have to pass it again & it would have another hour.
The bloke came straight in an hour & put me on his truck.
Once I filled up I was away.
This was so annoying cos normally I carry a can of fuel but because I've had the van stripped not everything is organised yet.
I got to the show at 10.45 am and so had to leave the van outside. I parked it directly outside the entrance though so it was the nearest I could get without being inside.
I met a few TLBers. Thanks to Jen & Rich for their efforts & to Fancy Bug for phoning me. It was all good in the end &I've learned a valuable lesson.
