You should pop in for a beer sometime... I have a 4-1. It's not beautiful, but it's stainless and it's for a 1600. If nothing else it's worth a look. And a beer...

Got a bit more work done on the engine the last few weeks, tinware is on, cant install the altie yet as Dave Rowley is only getting new altie stands at the end of the month and the carbs are on for mocking up the custom made linkage.I might make some aluminium spacers at work to go in between the carbs and manifolds to raise the carbs up a bit they are way too close to the fan shroud for my liking

Got a altie stand today and a half complete carb linkage centre bracket from Dave Rowley, also had Dave weld a bung on my oil filter adapter for the oil temp gauge sender, he did an awesome job.
Dave is also going to sort the carb linkage rods out for me complete with LH and RH thread ball joints, just need to give him the rod lengths

Got the carb linkage rods today from Dave R he did a great job on them making them out of 304 stainless steel rod with the proper LH and RH thread ball joints, also picked up some fittings to plumb the full flow oil system.

Got some more work done today on the engine, just need to finish plumbing the oil filter as well as plumbing the fuel system and then I still need a set of plug wires and a exhaust to finish it off and a fan belt
I have to remake the little throttle arms on the carbs, the ones I have on there now only only the throttle to open 3/4 of the way Image

Got some more goodies from Dave R to finish this engine, got the oil hose and ht leads.
Also got a set of SS Trumpet exhausts so just need to finish installing these and a few other goodies and hopefully sometime in march the engine can get pre run on Dave R's engine test stand

What did you do to get your alternator looking so good (is it new or powder coated or painted?)

I just cleaned it up and then gave it 2 coats of hi temp silver spray paint, the alternator looked like a piece of :bn: when i first got it

I haven't done much to this engine since the last post, I need a set of swivel feet or elephant feet valve adjusters and a 4 in 1 exhaust along with a new clutch plate to finish it but the finances just haven't been there so it sits patiently covered up in my garage :(
