I agree on the belts....I just got Bobbie's ones shipped in from CIP as they had a special and I needed to order parts from there anyway which weren't available locally.

Dave Rowley has a stud kit for EMPI wheels - R450-00

He also has a set of EMPI 5 wheels for R6k. Got the mail a few minutes ago...

Got an sms from Calooker this week, that he had some stuff for me.

Bellows for the Notch, new Rostyle centre caps, also for the notch, and some wheel stud kits for the fleetline!

Went to collect them on tuesday, but was just too hectic at work to do anything at all until this afternoon.

Got home with a little light left and started the process.

The kit consists of a stud with a 14mm end for the drum, and on the other end, 12mm for the wheel nut. Then there is a washer made to fit the Empi 5/American eagle rim and the Chrome nuts.

The kit in the top centre of this picture by the looks of it.



Not rocket science, just like changing a tyre, undo the old wheels, tighten the stud into the drum (it has an allen key centre)
Fit the wheel, and the nuts centre it nicely on the studs.

Unfortunately the kit is made for 4 stud applications, so I am one stud short on each wheel, and also need the Empi centre caps for the wheels, but will get all the above pretty soon.

When I get the last kit to fit to each wheel, I will use some threadlocker or whatever it's called, on the thread that goes into the drum, just to make sure it all stays in tact.... Didn't feel like it's really required, but probably a good idea, what do you guys think ?

By the time I was done, it was already just about dark, so the cellphone was set to brightest, and pics are even worse than usual, but I had to take just one or two

Took her for a spin to the local shops just to feel the ride with the new tyres, definately better than those old tyres of unknown origin and age. Found out now she is pulling to the right when I have to brake hard for potholes, and the rear slave brake cylinders will need an overhaul... Those shocks are also definately not what they are supposed to be, so roadworthy might still be a little bit more work away. Seatbelts are already creating a false sense of security

KK, those wheels look fab! I used Threadlock on Mo to also be on the safe side....I used it on all the studs, including the adaptor plates into the drum and the wheels to the plates
