found a cracked axle boot
so not looking forward to replacing it....

Well, if you come to starlite on Sunday, you can see how little access I have to the boots...
Boot is changed, got to top up oil in a few minutes, but its time for lunch now

Nice!! that went lekker fast. You guy's having a drive on Sunday? Planning to join up next weekend with the run, but not with my beetle.

No run this weekend, just a meet and greet, with food and drinks (as per your choice).
I'll try and make next weekends run. Only found out about it last night from Donovan.
You guys need to post these things in the events section so more of us can find out about them.

Now the question.... test drive or wash car?

Test drive. Been working on Pist$Broke's transmission Image
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

Weddle Chrome Molly mainshaft special 3de&4th+ super diff and some other tricks + chrome Molly side shafts and 2 HD Alluminium side covers

Bought new rubbers for tail lights and Liscence plate hood. Bumper rubbers . Rebuilt my carb for the Ghia. Fitted started ran like a dream. Installed new battery then took her for a short ride for fuel and to pump the tyres. And then she died :( grrrrrrr was idilling like a dream then nothing. Seems like no spark. Grrrr cleaned points contacts ht leads ends and re inserted them. No joy grrrrrr so being 4pm Sunday and no spares shops open rolled her into garage and will look for new points and condenser today wanted to take her to ferdis but don't think it's gonna happen

Gave the old guy some sponge and soap TLC and finished him off with a polish! 8)
Had my usual pit crew giving a hand :wink:

Went for a lekker sunday cruise around the neighbourhood looking for LRP, the stuff is getting scarce! :shock:

PVA is an easy fix, but hell is it difficult to buff! :lol:
