Hi all, Piet Jacobs is the name. I've been looking at the site fir some time but here is some personal info. We've got a 1976 beetle in the family - belongs to my daughter. I've recently bought a 1975 Fleetline with only 43500klm on the clock. Have had a lifelong love affair with a split bus (got my first driving lessons from my father in a 1959 split bus) so now I've finally got hold of one. The bus belonged to a old age home and along with all the documents was a receipt for petrol filled mid 1981. Paid R20-00 for 35.8Lt!!! Looking forward to communicate via this site in future. Piet Jacobs

Hi all. I am new to this BB. I don't own an aircooled dub.
I did own a 72 beetle for a short time a few years ago. It was purchased as a project car but after stripping it I realised that the rust was a bit much and the paperwork was messed up... So I sold all the parts to a guy that builds beach buggies for a living...
I have always wanted a Beetle but it seems thats never going to happen... I might as well share the happiness of other beetle owners!

Or you could get a crappy bug at a cheap cheap price or just a real rat bug.... Feathers do not a bird make... and bugs are more go than show....

Enjoy the site guys and welcome..
