Thanks chris for both comments.. lolDutch_Diver wrote:Some one who spent R60k to create that needs to have their head read! It's awful!
At least it will be assuring that now it will be a nice beetle since it landed in the projects thread. Bugger is updated in wich direction this car needs to go.. and for a full time bug nutter, he was impressed with the overall ideas and colorscheme I picked for the car. One day, it will be a nice beetle.
Re: My new toy: '58 bug with split window conversion
The empi' 5s will either go for polish/chrome (for a later car, a fastback or an ghia) or for trade to bugger or sale to fund the project a bit..
Steel wheels ordered from chris.
Some early thoughts on what was discussed with bugger. See it as my first sketch on what to be (on must dream right.) This is exactly what I want for a bug, (altough this one does not have suicide doors/ragtop but does have a decent chopjob and the colors are spot on (decals must go) There are some touches only bugger knows yet, but one can't reveal everything at first and 1 step at the time.
One must materialize and send it to the world to become a reality. Ladies and gentleman, the sketch of what must be:

I love it. And you can even go "Hot Rod" by adding red in the wheels.

go to the police tell them you bought this car give them the vin number tell him you payed him the money for the car and he is avoiding to contact you then give them his name and his ID number they will advise you what to do from there on let them know you want the car back at the end of the day and what are the steps to follow (do you put it down as stolen so on so forth) oh yes and be verry nice to them

If you can register the car in your name before going to the police
then you can open a case of theft. The police isn't going to be able to do much for you.
The car is still in the PO name and thus it's still his property. Same happened to me!!!!!
NO money and NO car................................Just my opinion

If the contract got a date and said there was money paid then IMO you got a leg to stand on. He stole your car or your money. He needs to deliver either of the two. Go to the police talk to them and make a case.

NO MAN, thats horrible, just read this!
I will be driving through ferndale tomorrow, will keep an eye out. If you guys see someone on the news tomorrow arrested for driving suspiciously up and down the roads of ferndale, that would be me! Lets hope its really only a case of them moving and things getting "complicated". Do you have their previous address? Surely they have to collect post from there at some stage, maybe a box or two that got left behind, if they rented the landlord might know something?
Good Luck with this one, keep us posted.

Wow thanks for your help guys.
He finally got back to me and had an emergency.
So, my bug is going to be delivered this weekend.
Lets keep fingers crossed that all goes well. This is one sweaty week...
