Long time no see...at least the Puma progressed behind the scenes thanks to IMPI and Pine...thanks guys!!!!
Earlier this year we have managed to reunite the shell with the chassis
This is not a fan shroud...its a piece of art.
So for the first time in months the Puma rose from the ashes

Very nice!
I'm still contemplating if I should get a Puma or Speedster one day.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Just stick around...IMPI will mass produce 356's one of these days....he is speaking about enormous numbers...something like 2 a year
. I wish I had the cash to buy a new Puma form Jack Wijker but R160k for a std 1600 is a bit tough...I'll rather fix the old lady to her former glory.

IMPI busy creating a masterpiece
The engine looking a lot better than earlier....check out the PUMA badge
Slowly but steady we're getting there.

I wonder how many new ones did they actually build and sell during the time they were back in production

Yip, its around 30 or so i think. My brother has number 17 from that production run. I prefer the old ones though, dont like those side windows on the new ones. The doors are nicer on the old ones as well. the only improvement in my eyes is the vented rear lid for cooling.
From fastest to slowest:
Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy

No they are still producing them but the production is going very slow...and then the demand is not that high seeing a 1600 base model costs in the region of R160k. I wonder how many of the original 250 odd is still running?
