So WTF is Resto Rat? My idea of a Mix between Rat and Resto cal. Body just like it is. Uphostery something like Armand said.... bare-stuff.... Bling PAINTED wheels. ie Red center and white "body" of the wheels. Some crome bumpers WITH natural rust. Dropped and a nice motor in it....

I was thinking about your car a few times today.... You should paint some old school HotRod flames on it in Red Oxide primer, have the seats stripped down to springs etc with a foam pad for your butt and back. Dropped suspension load stinger-type exhaust and some Red Oxide-and-White rims....... and just roll it like that

Just get rid of the rats or bats, stick a working four pot in it with a hole in the exhaust, lower it a tad and off you go !

Not a lot has happened since last time but at least Old Shite has a new coat of flat black primer and is currently being brought back to a drivable condition. In the meantime I've been gathering a few parts with these being the pride and joy of the collection...

Nah, it's just an incorrectly set white balance on the camera but gold would have been cool.

It's been a quiet couple of years on the posting front - luckily the Old Shite project has been chugging along quietly in the background despite a new career opportunity that has kept me away from home far more frequently than I would have liked.

I promised this as a Matric farewell ride to the son of a friend, so at least I'm forced to have it done by September. Remember, it's a work in progress, so please excuse missing trim, loose trim, the scratch the kids put on the door, etc.
