Les,
If you have any choice in the matter, I strongly suggest converting to the Type 3, twin carburettor setup.
Seriously, those single carbs are hens teeth. You don't get them, the amateur pilot guys, ripped them off years ago.
They need the side-draft setup for flight and being able to do loops without losing fuel in a gravity feed system.
Even if you do get one, the re-build kit alone costs over a thousand rands... ask me how I know.
