Re: My 68 Beetle

I'm lovin this colour - if my 68' had this colour I wouldn't have touched it - think you just need a nice rack and a turn of a spline at the rear !

Go with a single colour - you won't regret it.
Think you just need to get the colours right ! (Though I am biased - a little

Re: My 68 Beetle
Thanks for all the support
Things that I know I'm going to do the end of the year is drop it and rack it and I want to paint it because
the last owner did a balls up on the paint they did not prep it the correct way so the paint is lifting in some places and i want to change the colour cause i don't like dark colours thats why I was leaning to the yellow and grey

That drop will look good...just don't expect your pan halves to last for too long.

I only use her to go to work and back home and the road is flat with no speed humps and if I need to travel far I hijack my wifes car
And when it comes to the time when it goes to meets I will use a trailer

Re: My 68 Beetle
If you only use it for a daily driver...drop it,buff it,get some white walls and fix small things.
Then after all that is done, build up a nice engine and tranny combo...and roll her as is.

Re: My 68 Beetle
I've got a type 4 engine I think it's a 2L I would like to drop in so I just need to find a gearbox that will work
and I need to sort out the cooling and not to mention the brakes a car needs to stop
