I ran unleaded for a 1000kms and valve guides broke. Repaired the heads, now running unleaded with valve ease/ lrp additive. No problems so far.

Caltex... but i have'nt used it in my bug yet... I fill up our Astra with caltex LRP, but was thinking of filling the bug every now and then as you suggested

OK, was just wondering....
LRP isnt leaded fuel. Which is why I asked, you mentioned leaded fuel.

As stated in the thread tony linked you to, my bugs engine is stock, and runs better with Unleaded.

The LRP makes it fart and feel less oomphy.

Try out both. See what you prefer

Oh and don't quit the buggy. Trust us, its the best and worst times you gonna have. And its worth it!
