Check the accuracy of your speedo's too. I have seen some vw speedo's over read by 20-30km/h. 
and where stock standard, no smaller tyres / rims or something in that line.
Once had a person telling me he drives his bus easily up to 140km/h, I was doubtful and said we must then check, and of course it went up to 140km/h on the speedo, but was actually only doing just over 100km/h.
