Yup I sure do need a new body on Naked Fury.
So many holes she's almost totally naked.
How can I do a deal?

Ok so here is an update and a sort of plea to you enthusiasts out there.
It's a good body and perfect for Naked Fury but it's too much work for me I simply don't have the stomach, place or time for this project. I have a perfectly good running licensed Westy #282 with a great interior in dire need of constructive surgery, a new body which scrap Westy has. Having chatting with Fig I feel guilty that I should be saving Naked and at the same time saving Scrap Westy from the iron works. So if anyone is interested I am prepared to sell Naked for R25k (my costs so far to date) and all you need to do is buy scrappy and with guts and determination you have a very nice Westy. This is a one time offer if anyone is interested, I don't have to sell Naked and I use her camping often but Fig has gone and screwed with my mind and loyalty to the brand. Anyone interested in saving Naked and Scrappy let me know?
Madbones.

Guys, I myself recently received papers for my car after the authorities cocked-up and gave my vehicle 2 identity numbers. This lead to it clashing everytime it went to head office (Bloem in my case), and the process took longer than expected. It didn't require me to have a 'contact', simply patience as the civil servants know how to communicate

The total financial cost was Registration and Weigh Bridge. Time: priceless!!!
The only snag with a paperless car is that you sometimes have to bliksem the 17 digit VIN somewhere on the vehicle as the "old cars won't be accepted by the system" as the man in blue likes to say.

I would expect 3-6 months for the vehicle to be introduced into NATIS system. Simply be polite to the guy who handles your documentation, contact them once a fortnight or something (don't be a pain in a civil servant's poop 'ole ) and I tell you what, most of them wanna help.

Well, you see. I couldn't let them crush it. I called Johan and he persuaded them not to crush it until tomorrow. Time was of the essence! I made a call to a friend and asked him to borrow me 4 wide 5 rims with tyres and bring along my A frame. When I got there Jan already started to dismantle the front bumper. I handed over the money and got my "ticket" a receipt saying "paid for scrap Kombi"
I haven't decided what to do with it yet. I will probably finish my current project first and then tackle this one. It's going into storage for the moment. I will see what's missing and start collecting parts for a restoration.

Hi Didi, I've got a decklid for you, good condition, to contribute for the project.
As soon as I get my *&^$#$ ass in gear and send Blitz's airfilter, I could send this up as well, if you could collect from him.
Congrats on the addition!

Thanks man, not sure what I'm going to need yet. By the way, I'm also looking for a early bay airfilter for my 72 Westy. Keep an eye out for one of those if you don't mind.
