Due to the Public holiday Tuesday is everything on hay wire again and there are 5 vendors involve getting this project to work so just a little bit more patience and
It will be all worth it at the end of the day
I know it is taking a bit longer as my self would have wanted it but I rather get it done right the first time as I am getting a sheet of 2500 X 1200 cut up in to plates for Straight axle adjustable kits and making a few Beetle adjusting spring plates also

I have Picked up the first 5 sets outer bushes that will have the splined part today they need to get welded in to the short piece for the adjusting plate
Also done a upgrade on the long goos neck plate it will also get a sleeved bush that will fit over the splined part for preventing the goosneck plat eating in to the splined bush

I had the drop also redused as I had it at first a 5 inch drop and having the plate sit on the std place which was far to much
I have brought it down to a drop of 3.3inches when removing the RGB`s which is what most of the aftermarket guys make theirs and spoke to some of the guys in the States
which recon that is good as you can still go lower and higher

so hang in there as the product will be worth while all the wait and cost elective

Hope you Guys Approve as this will be a better kit and less Expensive than the kits from the states and it will be adjustable

I am going to make one set that will be off set to use the short axles but they will be trail to see how they work as some of the guys want to fit wider wheels in the back

Lemme know what you guysthink so far :hangloose:

That looks really great !!
Adjustables are the way to go, its really annoying having to take everything off before moving the springplates. And getting the wheel back in is a struggle aswell when the springplates are set in the lowered position. Adjustables are so much easier
Great stuff Bugger !!!

Thanks Splitz I was looking at this project a while ago but was not financial viable till I had a Client that needed the Straight axle kit
But most of the kits in the States were only available with out adjustable and that in one of the motivational reasons I rather do My kit Adjustable

be keen to see how much it will cost.

wonder if someone has the balls to make an IRS conversion kit, or is there a way to do it already?

I got the balls but the cost will be to radical and not worth the effort as we do not have alot of IRS spares available in SA and that makes the rest of the conversion expensive

As mentioned I want to keep the cost down but I have also invested a few$$$ in to the project doing R&D

Fair enough bro. I did a search and there are a few kits around internationally.
Would be sweet.

Looking forward to the finished product!

Mince making the IRS kit is not a big deal but getting the Arms with the Stubaxle bearing holders and stub axles
Then on the Gearbox side you need to convert a Swing axle box to a IRS box
Here you need Side plates
Dif acrrier
IRS Side gears
CV Flange cups
Shimms for setting up the diff back lash
Clips under the CV Cups
C Clips holding the CV Cups on the TRansmission

The above list is very similair like CHICKEN TEETH if you know what I mean same as Rock king horse :bn:

BUT it is do able for alot of effort
