Guys, if you think VWSA is bad - try Hyundai. When you buy a new vehicle from them, you're screwed for life unless the car gets stolen or written-off - 'cause the trade-price in Mead and McGrouther (The Dealer's Bible) is normally about double what they (Hyundai) will actually give you for the vehicle, no matter how well it's been looked after, and no matter how new it is.
The sad :?: thing is that M&M's trade price is established/calculated from figures that the DEALERS supply to them!
Quite simply, therefore, it is plainly apparent that the figures supplied by the Hyundai dealers to M&M for inclusion in the "Bible" are a fabrication, designed to help hoodwink people into buying their product, by creating the false impression that the product retains a really good trade-in value. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Tell the truth, I've only become a VW (Air Cooled) fan since about 5 or 6 years ago - when I was young I was a Mini (Leyland, not this BMW monstrosity) fan - ran a 1275 Cooper S, which eventually made way for a huge variety of other products - none of which have endured as well, or with anywhere near the integrity of the humble ACVW. And I've come to appreciate the simple honesty and reliability of the ACVW, to the point where my "Jeep" had her Nissan 1400 engine removed and tossed (literally), and a whole new ACVW heart purchased and installed (from Johan at Vee Mototrs) - to some people a step backwards, but to me a step in the right direction.

The problem is not (normally) with the cars themselves - as has been pointed out above, it's the dealers in general who are the problem. There are exceptions to this, and you'll find them in the most unexpected places. If you do, spread the word: They command a price beyond rubies!
