Thanks Pine,
Would be nice to get more info on this one.
Would love to have one,

I had a quick look at the Coyote youtube clips of the H&M TV series...sure didn't sound like anything remote to an ACVW...must have edited the sound big time ...I'll take some of that engine sounds for my Puma if they are for sale.

According to IMDB the Coyote was powered by a Chevy 2.8l V6 in season1&2.
For season 3 a whole new Coyote was built out of a highly modified and fibreglassed Delorean
I dont think you will ever get to the aswer.
At one time I counted about 10 kit car manufacturer in South America on Porsche 911s alone.
The Covins are very well thought out and build .Some well build cars have fooled judges at kit car shows in the past. Legend have it that the mould was pulled from an accident damaged car and a expert can identify a Covin body by looking for the repaired areas. My covin however had no such indications as it was cast from a local car.
I m biased so I love all Porsche bodied cars but there are bad ones as well --where the proportions are not right.
The best cars are the ones cast from an original like the Porsches or some other old cars . Yes there are some nice MG kits but also some rubish.
On the local front the only cars Iwill buy are the Porsches the Aqua and Puma.

Even the Puma's aren't perfect. The boot never sits properly, if you want it to sit flush it will take some work. They aren't 100% mirror image side for side, go measure up the rear. But it is expected from hand built cars. Even modern Lotus came with some faws occassionally. Some of the new Evora's have a slight dimple behind the fuel cap or in some other place, some are perfect.
From fastest to slowest:
Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy
I agree James.
But even modern day cars not always perfect, I remember reading an article on a manufacturer sending an inspector in with a heavy rubber hammer to inspect the new bodies as they come of the line. Cant remember the manufactures name though.
Shit hope it wasnt Porsche
I think manufacturers dont step back and evaluate that first body criticaly when it come out of the mold.
There is always a bit of distortion in the moulds and some shrinkage in the fibre glass ,even storing panels incorrectly for a long period can distored them.
The Covin guys spends hundreds of hours just to fit their doors properly due to unacceptable gaps.

The Meyers Tow'd was originally produced for off-road use only. It was an effort to diversify and expand the B. F. Meyers & Co. product base. The original Tow’d, aptly named as it was to be towed (get it?), had no hood or fenders. People thought it was so cute that they demanded it also become street-legal. Eventually the Towdster evolved adorned with hood, fenders and engine cover – even a soft-top for weather protection. The Tow’d in general had production problems however and never really caught on like the Manx. The body was smaller and lighter than the Manx and was built on a custom tube frame. One might say that the Tow’d was the predecessor of the modern sandrail. Bruce raced a Tow'd in the second Baja 1,000 and ended by crashing and breaking both legs. He is reminded daily by a worn out stainless steel ankle today, which is detected by his slight limp.
I see the title states VW based kit cars. Normally I'd assume it's Aircooled VW based kit cars, but I now have a reason to be a little bias.
So... Let's not forget the wonderfully local water cooled VW Based Sunpacer:
