Still on the 181 Thing: Nice kit car, fibreglass?, who made it?

When I registered my 181 they wanted to know the model as it stated unknown on the papers. I told them it was a Thing. The Lady looky at her mated and said "Die ou se sy kar is a VW dingis". It was left unknown.

The 181 is a tap tap car. Everybody always taps the body and then asks if its a fiber body or what kind of buggy is this?

As the steering wheel sits low in the car, you can not tell its a left hand drive car, especially with the side curtains up. Once at a roadblock in Bettys Bay the cop looked in and asked my kid for his drivers licence. After my kid said he doesnt have one as he is only 15 and his dad was driving the guy, without say anything, just walked around to my side and held his had out for my licence. He was not amused.

When girls ask what car this is and you tell them a VW Thing or Trekker, they always giggle.

the guys at work drives Golf 5 Gti,s M3,s and New Audis .......they asked me.....(why would you drive such an old vehicle...why dont i buy somthing New )..........

So i put them all in the bus and took them for a Joy ride and threw the Mc Donalds drive threw ........

I got asked by some oke what Ferrari this is while he was looking at the Porsche badge on the front of my Spyder.. ??? I thought to myself can this guy read!
