Ill post pics when I can...
Did a lot today.
Lowered rear suspension, replaced side shaft oils seals & skimmed drums.
Tomorrow Ill fit the new brake shoes and finish the assembly. Then I just have to weight it down to check if I've lowered it enough. Went down by two splines on the outer and left the inner as is. Not an easy job getting the arm off the splines...
Tip get BIG hammer 4pounds works well, one Big punch, wedge crowbar between swing arm and housing, place punch on shaft and MOER IT! HARD!! Moer it to your hearts content until it pops off...
Tip for the slow...
Make sure you have stripped it first B4 you start with the Moer Tool......

And I have found new colours I want to paint TieFighter.
Black Magic (like the CitiGolf)
&
Ruby Black (new Kia colour, black with a ruby/plum colour comes out when the light catches it. Only seen it in a colour swatch so will have to wait to see it on a car before making a final)

Hi Vader would also like to see some pictures. I had my Beetle lowered two splines at the rear but ended up raising it again due to speed bumps and deep sump not working together. How mush did you want to lower it? If I remember correctly two splines come to around 75mm but i will have to check to say for certain.

Well I lowered it twice and raised it once!! So I think in total I went down 1 spline. Did take a pic of how it looks now but have to do the fronts first before I will have a clear picture of what it will look like....
Just have to fit 1 new hand brake cable and fit the shoes at the back then the rear is all done...

Finnished with lowering the front. Cut & rotated The DarkSides old beams and only dropped it 5mm on the rotation, so with the softer & twisted plates it looks ok. Now that I got it to the hight I want I can start with cutting qa wedge in the body and lower it another 50mm in the nose....
