You need to start trawling through the scrapyards asap, start asking around, keep a photo of a bay window bus in your wallet and ask everyone if they know where similar scrap busses are lying, in backyards, scrapyards, informal settlements, industrial areas. Start scavenging - the more bits you can save, the more you can use and trade with .....

So Speaks a wise Man....

With the Fastback, had the same problem

Went to Brake Centre, told the guy that if he skims my drums, he is dead.

All he did was hone it with flatting paper, rebuild my shoes, and for less then R500 I had perfect brakes.

You do not have to skim the drums every time, even if they not lekker flat, or have groves in them, the shoe will wear to match the drum, and it will work perfect, if not better. (more surface area)

They want to skim drums, as it ensures them income, and full brake function from the start. so you have to be careful till they run in, but hey, some emergency braking on a quite road, and they seated. You have to do that anyway to get confidence that the breaks work anyway, well I do.

Thanks Herman you wouldnt happen to have a number or address for this guy?

The Shoes where put in incorrectly last time by whoever put them in so they started wearing skew and then damaged the Drums in the Process at whch they at the point they need to be skimmed but you can't skim them as they are at there max  You Just never win lmao

Thanks for all the Help Guys

What I do in a situation like that, I phone Goldwargen, Beetle Shop, Volkspares, and all the normal suppliers, and ask what other car senders are the same or compatible, and then hunt for those, no manufacturer, can warrant having a one off part, they mostly use a common part for something like that.
