I came across a plethora of ACVW spares at the weekend. Bodies (bugs, split windows etc), rims, cooling tins, bumpers etc etc. I spoke to the owner and he's agreed to give me an inventory of all his spares. For members who are interested.
Cant wait for that inventory list!

Let's get a truck down here - put them under the millies or something :)

I got sad news volks.

Unfortunately the busses are sold. They sold for the USD equivalent of R30,000.00 each. An ACVW restoration outfit from Ireland swept through to collect them as I arrived there this morning to get more info for you all. My heart wept

Getting an inventory is proving difficult; however, what is now available is absolutely everything which include: 5x Beetle bodies, numerous fenders, bumpers(8<), 'wide 5' rims(x 18<), hub caps/beauty rings(x 12<), tail lights(x <6 of various models(new and used), engine cases, gear boxes, sub frames +++. What I've highlighted is what I could see. All in they're asking for +/-R50,000.00 and one can take the lot.

The oval is also sold.

Sorry chaps. It would appear the world has caught on to the fact that Zim has stuff. Apparently these Irish folks are also on the hunt for old Ford Escort coupes and Mini Coopers and have a crew permanently on the ground for the purpose.

It's good news for the busses - they will hopefully live to tell another tale or two - this is what counts it the end of the day.

Thanks anyway for all your efforts :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose:

Dude. I don't know you so I really couldn't say what your problem is. I honestly couldn't care less whether you belive me or not. I'm not on here to be assessed by you.
I do take umbrage that you would attack me simply because you did not get what you wanted. Neither do I appreciate you talking about my country like you know anything about it. Why don't you come through and have a look instead of demeaning those of us who actually take time to try assist. Trust me, I have better things to do with my time than trolling junk yards, but because I enjoy the forum and its members; and have had the benefit of their assistance with my project, I figure it would be good to return the favour.

I've been in a few forums where guys got worked up when amazing stuff was put up for sale and only to turn out to be a hoax where the guy was looking at gauging interest in what he had and what it was worth. In fact I've seen it where guys just bulls*it because they lead a boring existance. There was even the thread in here a while back where tonnes of stuff was for sale and a lot of the guys were caught napping.....

Don't take what splitty said too seriously, I'm sure that he didn't mean it in a douchbag kinda way....lol.

No offence meant to you or your country, but your president is a tosser, the whole world knows that, not just splitty.

I love zim and I'm british......
