On the ball as always, Thanks Pine, thats the best way to join that I have seen and it also takes away the unevenness of the strait joint that will not match.
This way the joint is spot-on, and every mm is carrying the same stress so therefore the making of a stronger joint.
That article should become "Sticky" Please Pine.

You're welcome. Got the service bulletin from IMPI and we found it quite interesting, as VW has always been very much unsupportive and firmly against using the Beetle chassis for kit cars. The theory is that the service bulletin was released because their old bedmate Karmann started production of the GF Buggy... on a shortened Beetle chassis.
