Oh... So what about the approvals for the finished product, the buggy. Beamish sell finished buggies which have all the approvals, so the fibre-glass kits are also "legal". How does this affect this kit?

Hi Adriaan, thanks for inquiry.

The buggy is commercially available
Attached are some images of the VW Buggy that we manufacture. Herewith some information with regards to this body:

- Fits on standard VW floorpan no modifications required
- VW 'S' Beetle windscreen fits window frame (not included)
- Rear taillights are normal trailer/ truck lights ,preferably the new lights with LED Lights
- Roof is optional
- Seats four people-- Bucket seats in front and two built in seats above gearbox area (similar to Porsche rear seats)
- Roll bars, bumper bars not included
- It is recommended that the body is spray painted--
Selling price for fibreglass body app R9500-R10 000(Please note that we sell a fiberglass product, and all accessories, e.g. Lights ,mirrors ,steering ,gauges ,roll bars, etc must be supplied by the customer.

Please contact us if you require any additional information

So basicly the end product will look like you want it and not like these pictures, just the body shape will be the same.

Furman glass still manufactures them and you can buy it from Volkspares for about R2k or so..

it's got potential...........that will probably be the high specc'd one though. I'm sure that a baseline one won't look that good.

Good luck on the S windscreen..............not a good choice if you ask me.
