Update, Guys DO NOT USE HER, we had to go to the police last week and they escorted us to her house to 'convince' her to return our vehicle. She finally delivered it today, untouched, although she was paid in full when she brought the engine back the first time. It was back with her 'under guarantee', so lesson learned! I now need to find a reliable honest person to recondition my engine.

Here's another one offering ridiculously cheap "reconditioned" engines, this time on the Cape Flats.

It looks like ACVW drivers are being taken as the suckers of the moment ...

Caveat emptor.

Hi, we also had a run in with this lady. Our engine were also overhauled, but had to go back time and time again. The last return was about 3 months ago. And she had the engine for almost 2 and a half months. I threatened her a few times and got the engine back. She don't answer her phone and don't return whatsApp messages. Every time there is a different story about the engine. Her address is 658 Bruins Avenue Rosseville

There is a lady advertising a 1967 convertible beetle on OLX, Junkmail and Gumtree. http://www.gumtree.co.za/a-cars-bakkies ... 0375354109
The add is copied from The Samba. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1718694

I did phone to check what's the story. A woman answered. She is very busy at church today so I can not come go to view the car today but a deposit will secure the deal. She sent me her bank details:
(Mrs maria margaret ellis my 6 digit pin by absa 332511 my nr i 0622189949 thank you and God bless maria)
Her number is 0622189949

After notifying Gumtree and Junkmail they removed the add. On there it was the exact same description than on The Samba.
It is still on OLX.

She also came with the crap she will only sell to me if I will look after it and won't customize it...

Looking at her friends list on Wysboek, one of her friends is her husband under the name of "Dial A Pastor Johan". It always amazes me how many scammers make a show of being all religious ...
