Also found the tank to be rusted through. Will look for a good second hand one, have it cleaned and painted before putting it back. In the meantime will start to clean the nose and apply rust converter to all the rusty places.

Cleaned all the gunck build-up from the years from the front section and fitted the refurb tank with new fuel lines. Serviced the engine, double checked all the lubricants and attemted to start her.
She started after the third attempt and sounds OK. Will take her on test drive later to see what the engine is doing.

WOW shes alive.....
Good news,
Recommend you change the oil and again in 200 Km just to flush out the sediment of the long standing.
Enjoy her, and she will show her personality

Stripped out and cleaned the interior this weekend and found some "cancer" in the normal places.
1. R/H rear (battery tray)
2. Bottom of the doors (inside)
We removed the whole interior and the door cards, scrubbed the seats and hood lining.
Luckilly the rust in the inner doors are not to bad. A light wire brushing and "anti-rust muti" made it look a 100% better.
Re-fitted everything, with exception of the front door cards. Will place an order with Volkspares tommorrow for a R/H rear panel.

I have now stopped cleaning the gunk from DAISY. The more I clean her the more "marks" she's leaving.
I think it is appropiate to put some cat sand beneath her.
