As my Low light Bay is at the panelbeater, I can not show you the conversion.

But with the early Bay you can do it two ways.

1st is to use your old glass and bezel, with the old adjustment screws.

So it will look original.

You remove the old reflector, and adjustment screws.

solder the square adjustment nut onto the adjustment frame of the golf light, making sure you have it with ''top''
on the top."

Now solder two pins onto the golf frame for the two rubber pivot points.

Install and adjust.

The 2nd way is to remove the glass and reflector from the bezel, fit a dummy screw into the old adjustment screw holes and fit nut at back.

Hold the golf light with mounting frame into the chrome bezel, and measure the depth of the mounting frame into the bowl.

Cut and bend 3 l shape brackets , weld screw, bolt, or pop rivet these in place at the measured depth and screw in the mounting plate of the golf light which is still attached to the lamp.

Set the lamp using the golf mounting adjustment, and fit chrome bezel.

When the Bay get back I can post photo's.

Fitting CitiGolf Headlights

Here is how I did it on my '72 Westy

I wanted to fit citi golf lights to my early bay to increase visibility.
Here's a picture if the headlight bucket. Clearly no tabs

Image

I made some tabs with stainless steel and rivited some rivnuts on

Image

I got the new Hella lights but had to modify the section where it bolts on

Done!

Hi Didi,
Is this the golf unit from Goldwagen that will work?
Headlight Golf.jpg
And with the lense fitted to this bracket does the chrome ring screw into this backing plate?
Thanks

Do not buy then loose, get the light with the fitting ring all in one. you can get them at Autostyle or Midas

This will make it simpler for you and you will be able to fit the chrome ring back onto the body as before it is not fixed to the lamp assembly.

If you look at the photo, the setting screws have been removed, and I always fit dummy screws with nuts behind the chrome ring, into these holes to make it look original from outside.

But this will tell you that everything has been striped off the chrome ring, and it is fully independent from the lamp & cradle assembly.

You now do your adjustment with the chrome ring off, by using the golf lamp assembly setting screws.

Just make sure when you fit the golf lamp assembly that you have the "TOP" pointing up. or your light will not be settable.
