Speak to Janet at Gilo Engineering on 011 8352915. They do adapter plate & flywheel kits to fit roughly 30 engines to the Beetle gearbox. Last time I checked it was R 1800 for a kit.

Sure beats the ~$440 that KEP (http://www.kennedyeng.com) ask for their adapter kits.badbug wrote:Speak to Janet at Gilo Engineering on 011 8352915. They do adapter plate & flywheel kits to fit roughly 30 engines to the Beetle gearbox. Last time I checked it was R 1800 for a kit.

If it's too low, you're too old

Re: Nissan 1500 champ conversion
Wasserboxer bolts straight to beetle gearbox,no adapter needed, type 4 and Porsche 911 6cyl also bolts straight on,no adapter needed.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

I know that it bolts straight on, I don't know what clutch and flywheel to use
