it should fit any type 1 motor, well make me an offer, paid R960.00 new, nd about a year old.

Speak to Janet at Gilo Engineering on 011 8352915. They do adapter plate & flywheel kits to fit roughly 30 engines to the Beetle gearbox. Last time I checked it was R 1800 for a kit.

Sure beats the ~$440 that KEP (http://www.kennedyeng.com) ask for their adapter kits.

Do they have a kit to mate up a Wasserboxer engine to a Beetle gearbox?

Wasserboxer bolts straight to beetle gearbox,no adapter needed,type 4 and Porsche 911 6cyl also bolts straight on,no adapter needed.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

I know that it bolts straight on, I don't know what clutch and flywheel to use :x

a kombi clutch with no springs same with the golf to beetle nissan to beetle

Hi just wanted to say the motor is in, had a few hick-ups but most are sorted now, it runs beutifully :)
