The following are a few upgrades made over the past year.
Disc brakes with an adapter to retain the rostyles
New front seats
Sound system upgrade with splits in special kick panels and a subwoofer

looking good. Those kickpanels look good too. One of the best locations for a front split setup to live.

Adapters from Cylinder Head Remanufacturers in JHB
You can also swop them inside out and use them on the rear drums for a 4x100 PCD adapter.

EISH!!!! those pressed adapters are thin, not much meat left for the treads, I have seen a set of those loose a wheel taking a fender with it, that's why I stoped selling them.
Another problem is once you bolt your wheel on the bolt ends tend to hit the caliper, and they need to be trimmed down.

Machined adapters, more expensive than the pressed items but a hell of a lot safer.

I had spacers made to clear the calipers.
I used M12x1.5 high tensile wheel studs that press into the spacers (not on the photo). The knurled part of the studs were too long for the thickness of the adapter, so I had it turned down and extended the thread to give suficient length to fasten the wheel nuts properly.
I imagine that the wheels should stay put.

Petrus is being sold and the new owner was not too keen on my "old fool" styling.
He requested that we change the steering wheel and the gearlever; so this is the final rendition before I part with my beloved Beetle.

I'm glad that he allowed me free choice of the equipment used, so I don't think that it turned out too shabby, I tried to retain some class.
There is one more event to partake in before I give the car to the new owner - pictures of that in March

I thought no vents was 68 only on the late Beetle body? 69-70 have a pair of vents and 71 on has four sets of vents. Also 68 was the last year for the chrome trim on the dash.
What are the first three digits of your VIN jmvv?
