No, you know it isn't, you wouldn't need to ask the question if you didn't.
Keep it. Park it, store it, cut down on the smokes/booze/parties/lunches/dstv etc, etc, etc. But keep your beetle. You will never forgive yourself.
This is about as fair warning as anyone will ever get.
If it's not a choice between bread on the table and you beetle. Then you don't have to sell it. You just have to take care of it.
