If the choke remains activated longer than it should it will also be heavier on the fuel consumption, and drive crap, no power and puff out a little black smoke from the exhaust, as the mixture is much richer than it needs to be after warm up. I can't remember the direction in which to turn the choke at the moment to set it 100%, but I will check tonight, I will let you know. It is simple job in your case only 2 screws need to be loosened, where I pointed out to you that you had a stripped screw/thread.

A'right - I remember that.
Well, duly noted that I drive my bug hard but I've put in over R 400 fuel in the last 5 days, and I don't think I did
that much mileage.
